Why this site exists

Eight guided tours run from Las Vegas to the same state park, at fares between $99 and $160.99. The booking platforms sort them by popularity and rating, which tells you nothing about the two things that actually differ: how many hours you spend inside the park, and whether the trail you came for is open on your date.

Nevada State Parks closes Fire Wave and the Seven Wonders Loop every year from May 15 to September 30 because of heat-related rescues and deaths. Plenty of listings still name Fire Wave as a stop year-round. Putting that next to the price is the entire job of this site.

Where the facts come from

Tour prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, group caps and age limits are read off each operator's own listing on the date shown on the page, in US dollars. Every tour page carries the same fields in the same order, so eight trips can be read line by line. Tour listing checked: August 2026, except the single Viator listing, which is dated June 2026 on its own page and says so.

Park fees, opening hours and trail closures are checked against Nevada State Parks' own published information and dated where they appear. Park entry fee verified against official park information and recent visitor reports: August 2026. Traveller feedback reviewed: more than 2,400 verified reviews.

Where a listing admits something inconvenient in its own words, such as a tour that does not state its group size or one that excludes lunch on a 7 AM departure, we print it rather than smooth it over. Review quotes carry the reviewer's name, country and travel month exactly as published. We do not write testimonials.

What we do not do

We do not inspect the park, ride the tours, meet the guides or audit safety records. Judging whether a group can manage the sand out to Fire Wave in August takes someone standing at the trailhead, and that is a job for the company you book with and for the park rangers.

We also do not take your booking. Every Check Availability button sends you to the platform the operator sells on, where the price, the terms and the cancellation window are theirs.

How the site pays for itself

Links to tours on this site are affiliate links. If you book through one, the platform pays us a commission and you pay the same price you would pay going there directly.

That arrangement pays for the research and nothing else. It does not decide which tours appear, what order they sit in, or what we say about them. The cheapest tour on the homepage earns us the least and it is the one we recommend for most first-time visitors.

Corrections

Prices move, operators change their itineraries and trails close. If something here is out of date, write to us and tell us what you found and when you were there. We would rather fix a number than defend it.
