This Valley of Fire half day tour is the cheapest way to see the park with a guide, a park ticket and lunch already paid for. Jupiter Legend runs it daily at $99, six hours door to door, with pickups starting at 7:50 AM from the south Strip and drop-offs around 3:15 PM. Four of those six hours are inside the park, spread across eight named stops, the rest is Interstate 15. It is the lowest fare among the eight Valley of Fire tours from Las Vegas compared on this site.

Kort antwoord

The Jupiter Legend half-day tour costs $99 per person, runs six hours from a 7:50–8:40 AM pickup, and puts about four hours inside Valley of Fire across eight stops. Park entry, a deli sandwich, water and snacks are included, gratuities of 15 to 20 percent are not. The group is capped at 13 travellers.

Key takeaways

  • Pickup from 11 Strip and downtown hotels, back at your door around 3:15 PM
  • Eight stops including a full stop at Fire Wave, closed May 15 to September 30
  • Lunch is a deli sandwich with crisps, fruit and a drink at the Seven Sisters ramadas
  • Rated 4.9 from 713 GetYourGuide reviews, compare the other seven tours
  • Cheaper than the full-day version by $30, with two fewer hours

What the six hours cover

The stop list

The route works west to east through the park: Beehive Rock first, then the Atlatl Rock petroglyph panel up its metal staircase, Rainbow Vista, the Fire Canyon overlook, lunch at Seven Sisters, Elephant Rock, Fire Wave and the visitor centre. Eight stops in four hours means roughly 20 to 30 minutes at each, minus the driving between them.

Fire Wave is the exception and gets closer to an hour, because the walk is 1.5 miles round trip over soft sand with about 175 feet of climb. Between May 15 and September 30 that trail is shut by Nevada State Parks and the guide substitutes another stop, usually the Cabins or a second look at Elephant Rock. The listing still names Fire Wave year-round, so check your date against the closure window before you book it for that reason, and see the trail guide for what the walk involves.

Lunch, and what people actually get

Lunch happens at the Seven Sisters picnic area, in the shade of the ramadas rather than on the van. Reviewers describe a turkey or deli sandwich with crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink. One traveller in May 2026 got what she described as a lunchable rather than a sandwich, so the contents vary by departure, nobody describes going hungry.

Water and snacks are handed out through the day and the van carries a cooler. The vehicle has a USB charging port but no cables, which comes up in reviews often enough to be worth packing one.

The pace, honestly

The listing calls the walking easy. Most reviewers agree, a minority do not. Bernadette from the United States rated it four stars in May 2026 specifically because the pace on the hikes was faster than she expected and difficult for someone with walking problems, and she also wanted the guide to use a microphone so the back of the van could hear.

If you are travelling with someone who walks slowly, tell the guide at pickup rather than at the trailhead. Groups of 13 in a van can absorb one slower pair, they cannot absorb a surprise. The 4.5-hour photo tour is the gentler alternative, with light walking only and six people maximum.

Who this tour suits

Book it if

You want the park covered properly in one morning and you have something planned that evening. You are travelling on a budget and the $15 entry, lunch and transport being inside the fare matters. You are fine with a full pace and a group of a dozen strangers.

It is also the right choice if this is your only day trip out of Las Vegas: eight stops is the fullest itinerary at this price, and the operator has more reviews behind it than any other Valley of Fire tour on either platform.

Skip it if

You are booking between mid-May and the end of September and Fire Wave is the reason you are going. Book October to mid-May instead, or accept the substitute stop.

Skip it too if you want to walk properly rather than to be driven between viewpoints. The Love Hikes guided hike spends the whole four to six hours on the trail and lets you pick the difficulty. And if the light is what you are after rather than the checklist, the sunset departure is the better $128.

Questions about this tour

Is the park entrance fee included?

Yes. The $15 per vehicle Nevada State Parks fee is paid by the guide at the gate and is inside the $99 fare, along with hotel pickup, the deli lunch, water and snacks.

Will we see the Fire Wave?

Between October and mid-May, yes, with about an hour there, a 1.5-mile round trip over sand. From May 15 to September 30 the trail is closed by the park because of heat and the guide substitutes another stop.

How big is the group?

Thirteen travellers maximum. Only the 4.5-hour photo tour and the Lost City Museum day run smaller, at six.

Do i need to tip?

Gratuities are excluded and the listing states 15 to 20 percent as the expectation, in cash, at drop-off. That is $15 to $20 per person on top of the fare. Love Hikes is the only tour here with tips already included.

Can children join?

Yes, with an adult. Under-18s must travel with one, and children under 6 need a booster seat if the pickup is by car rather than bus. Pregnant travellers can join up to 24 weeks.

What if i need to cancel?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, full refund. You can also reserve now and pay later, so an early booking costs nothing until close to the date.
